Location: Reynishverfisvegur, 870 Vík

The Black Beach restaurant is located by one of the most amazing nature attractions of South Iceland, Reynisfjara. The house was built in 2014 and is an absolute architectural beauty as the building blends into the terrain and rocks from the beach were used as building material. Being only a short walking distance from the basalt formation and the cave Hálsanefshellir, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the scenic Dyrhólaey and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Black Beach restaurant offers a menu with a variety of options. They offer two kinds of soups every day, served with home baked bread. The soups are rich and nutritious; traditional Icelandic meat soup and they also offer the local turnip soup, made from turnips which are locally grown. In addition, they serve freshly made cakes, sandwiches, salads, dishes from the grill and all kinds of beverages. There are also more hearty options on the menu, which emphasise traditional Icelandic cuisines, such as local; fish, lamb, and hamburger.
