The Reykjanes Peninsula private tour allows you to experience the other-worldy landscapes in the southern region of Iceland. Visit the geothermal hot spot Krísuvík as well as the boiling muds and hot springs of Seltún found directly on the outskirts of Reykjavík. Drive past the Blue Lagoon and continue on to Gunnuhver hot spring. Walk over the Bridge Between Continents and learn about the saga of the Vikings at the Viking museum Víkingaheimar.
What to expect:
Krísuvík geothermal area
Krísuvík, also known as Krysuvik is situated on the Reykjanes peninsula. Krysuvik consists of several geothermal fields, such as Seltún. Here you can find mud pots and hot springs that have formed throughout the years with the soil colored in bright yellow, red and green hues.
Seltún hot spring
Seltún is a hot spot in the geothermal area Krysuvik. A boardwalk can be found leading through the area where you can experience boiling mud pots and fumaroles creating other worldly visuals that's certainly a sight to behold!
The Viking Museum Víkingaheimar
Visit the Viking museum, Víkingaheimar, home to a magnificent replica of a Viking ship called the Gokstad ship, which was excavated in near perfect condition from an ancient burial mound in Norway in 1882.
The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of the most popular attractions in Iceland. While touring the Reykjanes Peninsula we drive past the renowned Blue Lagoon and witness the bright blue waters as they can be seen in the lava fields surrounding the lagoon. The lagoon is fed by the water output from Svartsengi, a nearby geothermal power plant. The water is fed into the lagoon for recreational and medicinal bathing. This would only be a short "photo" stop at the Blue Lagoon and not include time to go into the lagoon itself.
Gunnuhver hot spring
Gunnuhver is a hot spring on the Reykjanes peninsula located close to the Reykjanes lighthouse. Gunnuhver stands in the heart of the Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark where the North Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean. A ramp is located close to Gunnuhver where you can walk onto the ramp and look down at the spring and hear the roaring noise, see the boiling water and feel the hot steam that stems from the ground.
The Bridge Between Continents
The bridge between Europe and north America can be located on the Reykjanes peninsula. Just as the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates can be found pulling apart at Thingvellir national park, they also can be found on the Reykjanes Peninsula and so the bridge was built as a symbol for the connection between Europe and North-America.

La piedra angular de la cultura islandesa es el idioma islandés, que ha generado una tradición literaria que se remonta a las antiguas sagas islandesas. Estas son historias de violentas enemistades de sangre, tradiciones, familia y carácter.
