Start on a journey eastward, beginning with the historical Thingvellir National Park, where Iceland's parliament was founded in 930 AD. Explore a canyon situated between the European and American continents, a testament to its geological significance and the world's oldest functioning parliament. Thingvellir's beauty, preserved as a national park, is a source of pride for Icelanders.
Continue into the highlands to the geothermal park of Geysir, where the geyser "Strokkur" erupts every five minutes, shooting towers of hot water into the air. Marvel at the small hot springs peacefully bubbling along the pathway.
Conclude your Golden Circle adventure with a visit to the iconic Gullfoss, the magnificent golden waterfalls cascading over a two-step drop of 32 meters in the Hvitá river.
As the day comes to an end, we'll drop you off back in Reykjavik, where you can unwind and reflect on the excitement of this remarkable day.
