Join us on this Stóri-Kambur-Special: A ride across the desolate mountain pass of Jökulháls, a truly pristine path cross the magnificent Snæfellsjökull glacier.

A place that for tens of thousands of years has been covered in a thick layer of ice and snow, only now beginning to be visible for the first time to the human eye. This exclusive tour starts from Stóri Kambur in the evening hours. We will ride up the glacier road towards Snæfellsjökull. We see it’s snowy top sparkling marvelously in the sun that never sets as we get closer and closer to the peak. About halfway up, we will take a long break and soak in the unforgettable views over Breiðavík and ride across the aforementioned Jökulháls in all its beauty.

Leaving the glacier behind, we will continue to our destination.

There is no riding experience necessary to join us on this tour. However, we do require a general level of fitness and confidence around horses, because we have to mount and dismount the horse several times during this tour.

We ride at a medium speed, depending on the attending group members. The minimum age is 16. The total duration of this trip is 5 hours.
